  • Sophia Agranovich featured on WQXR in two broadcasts!

  • Alexandre Dossin, pianist and Vice President of ALS, presented "In Beall with Brahms" on Monday, November 30 in Beall Concert Hall on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene. For more information, please see Dossin Brahms Series

  • Our San Francisco Chapter continues a busy schedule of Liszt-related activities. For a listing, please see SF Chapter 2015-2016 Activities.

  • Our newest chapter, at The Ohio State University, celebrated Liszt's birthday in October. For more information, please see OSU Liszt Celebration.

  • Student members of the Oregon Chapter of the American Liszt Society are in the midst of the Chapter's "Transcendental Etudes Pacific Northwest Tour." The tour started the week of October 12 and continued Thursday, October 22, with a celebration on Liszt's birthday via a live-streamed concert.   • The Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the American Liszt Society presented its Fifth Annual Franz Liszt Birthday Gala Concert on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. For more information, please go to the Chapter's Facebook page at Chicago ALS Chapter.

  • The American Liszt Society NY/NJ Chapter (its 24th season) and Yamaha Artist Services presented pianist Luiz de Moura Castro in a recital on Thursday, October 8, 2015, at the Yamaha Piano Salon, 689 Fifth Avenue at 54th St., New York City.   • The annual American Liszt Society Festival/Conference was held in Denton, Texas, September 16 - 18, 2015. For more information, please see the University of North Texas website at 2015 American Liszt Society annual conference. You may also view the official progran book at 2015 Program Book.

  • Madeleine Forte, widow of Yale University Battell Professor of the Theory of Mus Emeritus Allen Forte, is pleased to announce the creation of The Madeline and Allen Forte Archives at the University of North Texas in Denton. For more information, please consult Professor Timothy Jackson.

  • Gila Goldstein, ALS Board Member and President of the NY/NJ Chapter, performed a recital in New York City on May 16, 2015.

  • Karen Shaw organized a Liszt Mini-Fest featuring IU piano alumni as performers in two concerts on June 20 and June 21 on the Indiana University campus in Bloomington.

  • Frank Cooper served as narrator for the "Mainly Mozart Festival" in Florida, where Liszt's "Dante" Symphony was performed on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the Arsht Center of the Knight Concert Hall in Miami.

  • 2014 Los Angeles International Liszt Competition announces winners.

  • Dr. Thomas Mastroianni, immediate Past President of the American Liszt Society, died Friday, September 19, 2014 at his home in Silver Spring, Maryland.

  • Baltimore/Washington Chapter Holds Fundraising Dinner on November 16, 2014. Held at at the home of Helen and Stanislaw Tarchalski, the event was a celebration of the life of Thomas Mastroianni, late President of the Society.

  • Chicago/Midwest Chapter Sponsors Two Events: October 25 All-Liszt Birthday Recital and November 2 Lieder Recital featuring baritone Kevin McMillan and pianist Gabriel Dobner.

  • New York/New Jersey Chapter and Yamaha present concert on October 9, 2014.

  • Boston/Northern New England Chapter, in collaboration with Boston University School of Music,  Presents Piano Recital on October 20.
