San Francisco Chapter Announces 2016 Activities

The San Francisco Bay Area chapter celebrated the centennial of Alexander Scriabin this past year. Four concerts of the music of Scriabin (including the complete sonatas) were presented at Old First Concerts in San Francisco (April, May and two in August). The event was organized mainly through the efforts of SF-ALS Vice-President Daniel Glover. Joining Dan in the performances were John Boyajy, Chris Haight, Tien Hsieh, Jeff LaDeur, Mack McCray, Dmitry Rachmanov, Brent Smith, Brent Waxdeck, William Wellborn, and Owen Zhou.

The Chapter hosted SF-ALS chapter member John Hord in November 2015 for a lecture-recital about the varied life and career of Franz Liszt.
